United for D.C. finishes regular season by hosting auction

WASHINGTON, D.C. - United for D.C, in conjunction with D.C. United, has planned an in-stadium jersey auction to raise funds for the foundation's variety of community service programs. The event is scheduled for Sunday at RFK Stadium, as D.C. United host the MetroStars. The charity will oversee the sale of game-worn uniforms on the concourse near the stadium's Main Gate. The silent auction begins at 3:30 p.m. EDT and will end at half-time. Kick-off for the match is set for 5 p.m. EDT.

"This is an incredible opportunity for our supporters to purchase authentic, game-worn kits signed by their favorite United player," said United for D.C. executive director and United director of community and fan relations Catherine Marquette. "The revenue generated by these auctions is invaluable to the development of United for D.C.'s community-minded educational and healthy-lifestyle-based initiatives."
