Ecuadorian heritage day will celebrate Ecuadorian culture and include a series of activities throughout the day. The featured event, a FREE Ecuadorian festival will take place outside of Giants Stadium. The festival will include entertainment from some of the area's top local talent. The festival will also feature authentic Ecuadorian food provided by some of the area's top restaurants. The event will take place between 3-6 p.m. - just before the MetroStars' kick-off. The festival also will include a series of fun, interactive activities for the whole family.
The finals for the MetroStars Idol contest will also take place this Sunday during the Metros' game against the Dallas Burn. The finalists Kim Arzillo and Brittany Stetson, will perform for the chance to become the MetroStars Idol 2004. Fans in attendance will vote to determine the winner. Grand prize is the chance to perform the national anthem at one of the MetroStars' home games and tickets to the American Idol concert tour at Continental Airlines Arena.
After the match, the MetroStars are sponsoring a FREE drive-in movie - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The movie will be showcased in Lot 8.
