Salt Lake City meeting and open house offers fans, residents opportunity to provide input, learn specifics about SLC soccer stadium proposal

Discussion is open on Tuesday in regards to Real's new stadium.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Murray, the first city to present a proposal to Real Salt Lake regarding a location for a soccer-friendly stadium, held a public meeting on the idea last week. Now, it's Salt Lake City's turn to hear from the team, ask questions, and invite public input about the location proposed by Salt Lake City leaders.

Tuesday, February 1, 2005 - City and County Building, 3rd Floor
5:15-6:00 p.m. - Open House, including stadium graphics (3rd Floor Hallway)


6:00-7:00 p.m. - Presentations and Q/A from Council


7:00 p.m. - Public Comment
These meetings are an excellent opportunity for soccer fans to learn more about the Real stadium project and give their input about possible locations. The team is very interested in hearing fans' opinions about the best location for the stadium.
Representing Real Salt Lake at the meeting will be owner David Checketts and CEO Dean Howes. Both will be available for media interviews at the meeting as time allows.
