Revolution 1, Crew 1 -- quote sheet

COLUMBUS CREW 1, NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION 1

COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH ROBERT WARZYCHA

On the game:
"I think we played against the best team in Major League Soccer, and we played very well. We matched everything they had. We were very close to winning the game. [Taylor] Twellman scores a lot of goals at the end of the game, and we let him do that.

"It was very frustrating, not only for me, but for you (media), the players, and the fans. Nobody is going to remember this game, that we played good, that we played the first place team so good. Everyone is going to remember the last minute, they are going to remember the goal we gave up, and that is frustrating."

On Knox Cameron:
"He's (Cameron) a good player. The more he plays, the more effective he is. Today he was in the right place at the right time, and he scored a nice goal. Obviously, he's one of our best forwards, and that's what he has to do when he steps on the field, he has to score goals. He scores goals, he's going to play more. He has a better chance to start the next game when he does."

On his lineup:
"I didn't rest anybody, they are injured. I am putting the best players on the field every single time. If somebody is injured, and they are not 100 percent, then obviously they cannot be in the lineup. Chris (Henderson) was one of them."

On Mario Rodriguez:
"He (Rodriguez) did very well. He was very effective, especially in the beginning of the game. He did some good things, he almost had a goal. In the second half, he did exactly what I wanted him to do. He was good, overall."

On Edson Buddle's return:
"You saw it today. He was very dangerous, even to the end of the game. He took the ball a couple times, tried to dribble, tried to create something. I want to see him in the lineup, because he is a very good player, He wasn't in the lineup for awhile, and that may have affected his game a bit. I think he will get better and better each game. We have a few games left, and I think he needs to get in shape a bit. He needs to be quicker, quicker to the action. Overall, I think he had a good game."

COLUMBUS CREW FORWARD KNOX CAMERON

On the game:
"I knew we were going to be pretty dangerous in knots and pieces, because we had a pretty huge lineup with myself, Edson (Buddle), Chad (Marshall) and (Mark) Schulte, so we had to take advantage of that. Simon (Elliott) played a good ball in, and Chad was able to redirect it, and I was there to pick up the scraps."

On his goal:
"I was just trying to contribute. Coach gave me a start, so he showed he had faith in me. Just letting up a goal towards the end of the game is a microcosm of how our season has gone. It's tough ... we have been so unlucky at times. We showed that we continued to fight, and that is a testament to the character of the guys in the locker room, for sure."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION HEAD COACH STEVE NICOL

On the game:
"We deserved to get something at the end of the game; there was no way we deserved to lose that game. I don't think we deserved a draw either. We had some chances; we could have scored four that we could have scored. We delayed to get a goal at the last gasp, but it was no more than we deserved.

"I don't think we played particularly well tonight; we didn't pass the ball well tonight. We just didn't defend well last week; we played some good stuff last week. We still created a real load of chances."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION DEFENDER JAY HEAPS

On the game:
"That's one of the things about our team, we didn't play particularly well tonight. We knew that, and our passing wasn't there. But there's something that we have inside right now, that we feel confident, we feel like we are going to have opportunities right up to the last second of the game. And that's what continues to happen, and what we want to keep doing. And we have Taylor Twellman."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION MIDFIELDER STEVE RALSTON

On the game:
"It's nice when you're on the road, to at least get a point out of it. We felt like we should have gotten three points tonight. As bad as we played, we still created enough chances to win the game. We have to do a better job of passing the ball, we were a little sloppy. At the end of the day, when you're down 1-0 in the 92nd minute, and you can get a point out of it, we'll take it."

On playing in his 100th game for the Revs:

"I feel like I'm a Rev. I love being a Rev. I had no idea it was my 100th game for the Revs. Something to be proud of. Hopefully I can get 100 more."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION FORWARD TAYLOR TWELLMAN

On his goal:
"I made up for some mistakes tonight. I should have scored about three minutes earlier. I was trying to get on the end of something, and obviously [Pat] Noonan played a good ball."

On the game:
"We're just not stopping. We are playing 90 minutes. Fortunately, I let the team down tonight, I should have had a couple more. It's on me, we should have won."

On the Crew:
"Columbus is a very good team, they're just getting unlucky a little bit. They are a handful; they've got some frontrunners up front."
