Question: After the second straight tie for the Quakes to start the season, what were some of the positives that you can take away from Saturday's 3-3 match with Chivas USA?
Brad Davis: "The positives were that we went down 1-0, came back and tied it 1-1. We continued to battle throughout the while game and come back several times. We finally got ourselves into a great position to win the game late, and unfortunately we weren't able to hang on, but those are things that we can work on. The good thing is that we are scoring goals and figuring out ways to stay in games and get back into games."
Q: How does it feel to get your first goal as a member of the Earthquakes?
BD: "It feels great. I've been getting points in the last two games, and it really feels like this is the right place for me, things are going well. I'm combining with guys and doing a real good job of working together with the guys, so it has been good so far."
Q: What did you see as you prepared to set up for your free kick that led to the first goal?
BD: "First of all, I didn't think that I was going to take that kick. Ronald [Cerritos] and I were both looking at it, but from what I saw in their wall was that they had the short guys on my end of the wall and the goalie gave me a lot of room over there. I knew if I got it over the wall and on target it was going to go in."
Q: After taking a late 3-2 lead, can you talk about the team's emotions after allowing Chivas USA to tie the game in the final minute?
BD: "It is frustrating and upsetting. We go down 2-1 and then end up making a comeback like that, and we really felt like we had the game wrapped up. We spoke about controlling the ball at the end of games, and we just have to do a better job in the last ten minutes of games. From our point of view, the end of the game was unacceptable."
