Payne: Mulrooney is Quakes' 'Iron Man'

Quakes midfielder Richard Mulrooney hasn't missed a minute of action this season.

and Mulrooney's buddy -- Joe Cannon, the league's leader in shutouts with 10. He has blanked the Quakes twice this year (1-0 and 0-0) and lost to them 3-1.

"It's always a challenge against Joe," said Mulrooney. "He's very athletic and does a great job of covering for his defense. I remember we had total confidence in him when he was playing here, as we do Pat Onstad, and I'm sure it's the same with the Colorado defense.

"With the way Pat and our defense have been playing, one or two goals may get the job done for us Saturday. I expect us to come out flying and I think we can get a result there."
