NEW YORK - Major League Soccer today unveiled the new 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game jersey to be worn by the 18 MLS All-Stars as they take on English Premier League team Fulham FC on Saturday, July 30. The blue adidas jersey features the name of the event's title sponsor, Sierra Mist, across the front of the jersey. This is the second time in the history of MLS that a sponsor will be carried on the front of a jersey, which is consistent with the practice adopted worldwide. Sierra Mist's name was also featured on the front of the 2004 MLS All-Star jerseys.
The jerseys will go on sale today online at www.mlsnet.com and at select Columbus, OH sports stores. The jersey will also be available in-stadium on July 30, at the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game from Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH.
The game, to be played against English Premier League team FC Fulham, will mark the second time in three seasons that the League's best players battle one of the world's top clubs in the new format for the Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game, which was adopted to ensure the most competitive All-Star spectacle in U.S. professional sports.
The 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game featuring Fulham FC offers four levels of ticket pricing, ranging from $25 to $45 for individuals, and $17 to $30 for groups of 20 or more.
