MetroStars launch new youth club: MetrosFC

The MetroStars announced the launch of their new fan club for children and young adults ages 16 and under- MetrosFC. Members of MetrosFC are given great benefits - one of which is the opportunity to meet and hang out with some of their favorite MetroStars during an exclusive autograph session and a private party held solely for the fan club.

Included in the MetrosFC package are a number of other items that all young MetroStars fans will enjoy- including a ticket to a MetroStars home game, an official MetrosFC ID card and email messages written by MetroStars players, coaches and trainers. By presenting their official MetrosFC ID card at any home game during the season, they will receive a pack of trading cards in addition to compiling bonus points that add up to other great prizes.

MetrosFC members also are invited to participate in a skills challenge where their soccer prowess will be put to the test on the turf at Giants Stadium. Additionally, they are given the invitation to compete in an EA Sports FIFA 2005 video game tournament.

Joining MetrosFC is easy. Just simply apply online at the MetroStars Shop, www.metrostars.com. Membership is open to all children and young adults ages 16 and under. The cost of membership is $20.00. The first 100 children and young adults to register will join Z100 FM's Greg-T on the field of Giants Stadium for a private clinic with some of your favorite MetroStars players!

Once the online registration is completed, members will receive their 2005 MetrosFC Welcome Package within 6 - 8 weeks. Complete Club details will be included in this package. In the meantime, if you have any questions or need assistance, please email Lindsay Daywalt at ldaywalt@metrostars.com.

During the registration process you will be prompted to enter an email address for the MetrosFC member. All communication about the fan club as well as player diaries are distributed via email through the season.
