MetroStars acquire future considerations from D.C. United in exchange for Kenny Arena

SECAUCUS, N.J. - The MetroStars announced today that they have traded defender Kenny Arena to D.C. United for future considerations.


Arena, 24, departs the MetroStars after spending two seasons with the club. The University of Virginia product saw action in 10 games for the MetroStars in 2003, starting five.


In 2004, Arena again played in 10 games, with eight starts. He tallied one goal on the season, which came in a 2-1 win over the L.A. Galaxy on June 19 at Giants Stadium.
