Metros ring in a new day at the NYSE

The MetroStars rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday morning to kick off the day's trading.

Defender Jeff Agoos, midfielder/forward Youri Djorkaeff, goalkeeper Zach Wells and President and General Manager Nick Sakiewicz all joined NYSE President and Co-Chief Operating Officer Catherine Kinney on the balcony overlooking the trading floor to ring the bell.

Afterwards, the MetroStars hit the floor and learned all about the trading process from various brokers who were eager to show the players their playing field.

Many MetroStars and world soccer fans alike greeted the players as they toured the floor. Perhaps the Metros can bring some good fortune to Wall Street and spark a bullish rally in the market.
