Metros' Gaven gets wired

always beats guys. Plus the fans got louder -- the whole game for everyone became very intense. He managed to get a goal past us, which was o.k. because we won and that's what counts.

After the game I got to hang with Freddy a little. We have a pretty good friendship from our time playing together on the national team. He hates my hair and music selection. We joke a lot -- playing against him was cool -- although I never had to face him one-on-one in a game situation. It was really an amazing feeling.

I actually played with Freddy today [Tuesday]. We are both training with the Under-20 National Team in Florida and had a match against Jamaica today (insert score here if possible) and then we play Haiti Wednesday night. It's great to train with the U-20 team and catch up with the guys. Some of their college stories are hilarious.

After this training camp, I'll fly back to New Jersey for our game on Sunday against the New England Revolution. Hopefully we keep the streak going -- we are playing really well, but New England is a different team than D.C. Last year the Revolution killed us in the last 2 weeks -- we made Pat Noonan look like a god and we want to prevent that from happening again. The team will have a good week of training, plus we've got a great new forward [Fabian Taylor] to work with John Wolyniec and Mike Magee. It's going be harder to find a spot on the field for the opposing team with the space that we have been taking up.

We'll go in with the same attitude and same game we have had the first 2 games and we will be fine.
