For the first time in team history, the Columbus Crew have secured the top seed in the Eastern Conference throughout the MLS Cup Playoffs. Edson Buddle's 60th-minute strike gave the Crew a 1-0 win against the Fire in Chicago.
Crew fans can welcome the team home Thursday afternoon at Port Columbus International Airport. The team arrives at 1:02 p.m. on United Flight 384.
