Global soccer tournament heads to Los Angeles for only U.S. stop

WHAT:
From the streets of Mexico City to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the adidas +Challenge is traveling the world, challenging youth soccer players to bring their teams to the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Venice Beach is its only U.S. stop and will play host to the North American qualification tournament.

Chivas USA Players Brad Guzan, Sacha Kljestan, Ante Razov and Matt Taylor will lend their support to national youth teams competing for a trip to Berlin to compete as Team USA in the Global Finals during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.


Fans and spectators are welcome to meet the players, test their own abilities in the interactive skill zone and compete against friends on a life-size foosball table. EA Sports will have stations set up for fans to test drive FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup on the Xbox 360. Watch out for a special appearance by the ChivaGirls.
