CHICAGO - Last Friday the Chicago Fire sponsored the 4th Annual Battle of the Bands, presented by Budweiser, Viva 103.1 FM and the Chicago Fire. The event was held at La Justicia on 26th street in Chicago, also known as the Little Village neighborhood. The event marked the final phase of the rock and roll contest (preliminaries were held during the month of October) and the three finalists each played before a spirited audience at Justicia.
The winning band, Nitzaye has won an array of prizes, including Chicago Fire gear, airline tickets with the opportunity to perform in another city, interviews on Viva 93.5/103.1 FM, the opportunity to perform at a Chicago Fire game at Soldier Field in 2005, and consideration for Budweiser's True Music Act program. The other finalists were Malafacha and Zamandoque.
