New and old faces at training: At the team's training facility of Blue Sky in The Colony Wednesday, FC Dallas had new faces, old faces and trialists still looking to make an impression on the coaching staff.
The new face is Marc Wilson, who will be training with the team for an indefinite time period. The club has been looking to possibly sign Wilson, but cannot right now due to the closing of the transfer window for international players. That transfer window will re-open on August 15 and fans could see Wilson training with the team until then or even participating in a reserve game or two, if FC Dallas receive league clearance.
The face from the past is Eric Quill. Quill asked the coaching staff if he could train with the team over the next few days and the coaches granted his request. He was training with the reserve team as the practice was split up into two groups.
The three trialists the team is still taking a look at are midfielder Chux Nwogu, midfielder Jonathan Pulido and forward Peter Louis. Louis is a local Dallas product out of Lake Highlands High School that finished his junior year at Coastal Carolina in 2004.
Pulido attended Florida International in Miami from 2002-2004 and recorded a team-high nine goals to help lead his team to a 14-5-3 mark. Nwogu is from Nigeria and appeared in the team's reserve match against the DFW Tornados on May 24.
Nunez likely to miss Saturday's match: It looks like FC Dallas will be without midfielder Ramon Nuñez this Saturday in Salt Lake City. Nuñez is scheduled to leave on Friday to head to Holland for the U-20 World Championship, where he will represent Honduras.
