FC Dallas ticket pricing announced for 2005 season

Dallas, Texas - FC Dallas President and General Manager Greg Elliott announced today that the team will have lower overall ticket prices in 2005 at the new Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center as compared to the 2004 prices at the Cotton Bowl.

"Making our product affordable is an integral part of our plan to grow our fan base," said Elliott. "By lowering prices in most ticket categories, we are acknowledging the loyal support of our longtime fans, and reaching out to potential ticket buyers throughout the DFW community. This is a virtually unprecedented action, especially in light of our impending move to the organization's sparkling new stadium."

FC Dallas' 2005 average ticket price of $13.35 will be the second lowest in MLS when compared to 2004 prices (2004 average ticket price was $14.15). When compared to the other four major sports in the Metroplex, FC Dallas is far and away the most affordable average ticket price. The other four major sports in the Dallas/Fort Worth area have AVERAGE TICKET PRICES that range anywhere from $30 to $75. As part of the 2005 pricing structure, full season ticket packages for FC Dallas are priced significantly lower versus 2004 prices at the Cotton Bowl (see table below). 82% of the seats in the Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center have a price equal to or lower than their 2004 Cotton Bowl counterpart.

The team is also introducing a $9 reserve seat, which is one of the lowest ticket prices in MLS. The $9 reserved seat is 25% lower than the least expensive, general admission seat offered in 2004. Almost 20% of the seats in the new 21,193 seat soccer stadium will be priced at $10 or less.
