The Colony, Texas - FC Dallas scored twice in each half to down the University of Tulsa by a final score of 4-0 at the Blue Sky training facility this morning. Head coach Colin Clarke made use of a young lineup that controlled the tempo and possession of the ball for most of the match.

The first goal came in the 25th minute after Bobby Rhine made a nice run from the right past two defenders to then leave Mario Torres one on one with the goalkeeper. Torres controlled with his left foot and simply tapped the ball over the sliding goalkeeper to open the score.

The second goal came in the 43rd minute in almost a replica of the first goal. Bobby Rhine once again dribbled through the right side of the box and passed the ball to Torres who easily beat the keeper with a crossed shot.

Five minutes into the second half a through ball was sent to the left flank. Drew Moor got to the ball and made a cross to the left flank to find a wide open Ramón Nuñez who blasted a shot past Tulsa's goalkeeper.

FC Dallas would score one more time in the 60th minute after Torres made a nice pass to Chris Gbandi inside the box. Gbandi was grabbed by a defender but still managed to cross the ball to the far post where Abe Thompson just had to put it in.

FC Dallas Assistant Coach Bryan Haynes: "It took a while for the guys to get going but once they did they were able to create lots of scoring opportunities. I think this is one of the better teams we've played against and it was a good test for the boys coming into a tough game on the road against Chivas USA".
