FC Dallas 5, Chivas USA 2 -- quote sheet

FC DALLAS 5, CHIVAS USA 2

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH THOMAS RONGEN

On the game:
"I'm responsible for putting the whole team together, and I'm responsible for putting the best eleven on the field and we hope they can function, so the buck stops clearly with me and I got to do some soul searching myself after this game."

About his future:

"I'm not a quitter. I keep fighting and expect that the team do the same thing. You try to put your team in a position to be successful in one and every game. As coaching staff we felt we done that, but clearly we fall short in quite a lot of areas."

Personal and as a group reflection:

"I'm going to look to myself and draw some conclusions, obviously based on performances. I will look to myself tonight on the mirror and try to see where did we go wrong and how we rectified and how I need do it as the ultimate responsible guy in this organization in the technical staff. I'm not going to shed the blame on the players."

CHIVAS USA GOALKEEPER MARTIN ZUÑIGA

On his MLS debut:
"This was very unfortunate. When you take five goals there is nothing to say about. Just shut your mouth and go back to work."

About the early goal:

"Yes, this was the fastest goal I ever allowed on my career and I hope I never get another one like that."

FC DALLAS COLIN CLARKE

On the game:
"We gave away a penalty kick, which is not good, I thought the rest of the first half was back and forth. I think we had more opportunities and the second half, we came out and started right. We went after them, we got closer to them, something we didn't do in the first half."

On Chivas USA GK Zúñiga's debut:

"We had never seen him before so obviously we didn't know anything about him but any player that comes in for the first time, you want to get at him and put him under pressure and well I give full credit to everyone that played tonight."

FC DALLAS FORWARD CARLOS RUIZ

"Well, we're happy with tonight's result here in Los Angeles, I think the team played very good in the second half when we found the spaces and took advantage. I think we played very well in the offensive front of the team."

About the couple Ruiz-Johnson:

"I think we are understanding each other a lot more as the season goes and not only with Eddie, I think the whole team is understanding each other better as the games are progressing."
