FC DALLAS 3, CHIVAS USA 1

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH THOMAS RONGEN

On the result:
"Any time you lose possession as easily as we did and get stretched by players like Eddie Johnson and Carlos Ruiz and Ronnie O'Brien, who was a workhorse at midfield tonight, it becomes a long evening. But I believe the 3-1 scoreline wasn't necessarily a reflection of the way the game was played."

On his team's performance:
"We need to address a few issues. Clearly, our organization, the loss of possession, and the transition in defense need to be better. Also we had a few guys that underperformed today, and for us to be competitive in this league we need to bring the best of our game."

CHIVAS USA DEFENDER EZRA HENDRICKSON

On the game:
"We thought we were doing well at halftime, after scoring the tying goal. I believe that we had momentum going into halftime. But then, the second half was all back and forth, until they scored that penalty kick and then, the third goal. We can't afford to let this happen in our own house."

On the team's missed goalscoring chances:
"In this game, when you get the opportunities, two or three yards from the goal-line, you've got to put them away. If you miss those, they will com back and haunt you."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH COLIN CLARKE

On the result:
"We are very happy. In the first half, they threw themselves at us early on, but we held on an then played fairly well, creating good stuff and got the goal, I think with a little bit of fortune. We were very disappointed to give that one up before halftime. I told them that all we needed was to keep doing the good things we were doing and I think we dominated the second half and got two good goals, including the PK."

On his team's performance:
"I was happy with everybody. I thought we defended well, our midfield passed the ball well and the guys up front, they all scored."

FC DALLAS FORWARD CARLOS RUIZ

On scoring the winning goal:
"I'm very happy. Because we performed very well as a team and got a great win and on top of everything, I got support from my fans in Carson."

On the penalty kick:
"You've got to be able to score, no matter how. In this case it was a PK, but I hope that more goals are coming soon and that's why I keep working so hard."
