FORWARDS
Eddie Johnson: After a breakout season in 2004, the recent goal scoring rampage with the U.S. national team will have Johnson oozing confidence this year. Throw in his new strike partner Ruiz and he will have more one on one situations to exploit and become that much more dangerous.
Carlos Ruiz: One of few MLS players that can join just about any team and instantly make them a contender. Alongside Johnson, "El Pescadito" just formed the best forward tandem in the league.

OUTLOOK
Following two seasons finishing outside the playoffs the new-look FC Dallas has been one of the biggest players in the transfer market this offseason. They've strengthened every area on the field with the addition of players such as Ruiz, Vanney and Mulrooney. There will be a big challenge when he has to juggle the lineup when World Cup qualifying comes around, but if Clarke can play his cards right he has a team with the potential to make serious noise come playoff time.

NEWCOMER WITH THE GREATEST IMPACT: Carlos Ruiz
Clarke has made additions to each one of his lines over the winter. Veteran defender Vanney has come into the back line, while Mulrooney will bolster the midfield group. But of all the newcomers to FC Dallas this season, Ruiz has to be tabbed as the most important. His proven eye for the goal and clinical finishing will make Dallas an exciting team to watch all year long.
