D.C. United's Ben Olsen and head coach Peter Nowak fined by MLS Disciplinary Committee

NEW YORK - Major League Soccer's Disciplinary Committee announced Thursday that D.C. United midfielder Ben Olsen and head coach Peter Nowak have been fined $250 and $500 respectively for public criticism of game officials following a 1-1 tie against the Columbus Crew at RFK Stadium on Saturday, May 8.


MLS' seventh weekend of regular season action features a full slate of games on Saturday, May 15. Soccer Saturday kicks off at 4 p.m. ET as the Columbus Crew seek their first victory of the campaign when they receive Taylor Twellman and the New England Revolution (ESPN2). In a battle for first place in the Eastern Conference, the high-scoring MetroStars (8pts) host the Chicago Fire (9pts) at Giants Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET - FOX Sports World and FOX Sports en Espanol). Also on Saturday D.C. United welcome the Kansas City Wizards (7:30 p.m. ET), the defending MLS Cup champion San Jose Earthquakes travel to face the Dallas Burn (HDNet - 8:30 p.m. ET) and the Colorado Rapids will look to stop the MLS Budweiser scoring leader Carlos Ruiz and the Los Angeles Galaxy (10 p.m. ET).
