A day in the life of Jaime Moreno

After coming back this season, people had a lot of expectations for me. I'm just happy to be back and playing. During the preseason, I put in a lot of hard work to make the team. I think that showed the coaching staff what I'm capable of doing. No matter what happens now, I'm happy to be a part of this team and be able to play.

Working with Alecko Eskandarian up top has been great. It's never easy scoring goals, but Alecko found his way and has been working hard to keep scoring. We've both had great years, and hopefully we'll be able to keep doing things the same way.

I've been helping Christian Gómez become acclimated this year, and it's good to see him doing so well. He came to this country from Argentina and it was difficult for him. Trying to fit in with a new team in a new home is always hard, but he's starting to get adjusted. In last weekend's game against Chicago, he showed that he has a lot of potential. Hopefully he can continue to develop and help this team.

It's our team goal to make the playoffs this year, and there is always some pressure. Honestly, I don't think about it too much. I just let the game happen. We played very well in our last two games at home and we're hoping to continue to play this way for the rest of the season. We just want to go on the road and win against Columbus the same way we did at home against Dallas and Chicago.

Even though I'm one of the older players on this team, I don't feel any added pressure to be a leader. To me, I'm just another guy on this team. I have to work hard to help this team to be successful. I'm happy to do exactly that.
