Dallas Burn and TXU Energy to host skills clinic for students of Mi Escuelita

Dallas, Tex. - Dallas Burn President and General Manager Greg Elliott announced today that the Dallas Burn and TXU Energy have teamed up to present the "Skills 'N Drills Soccer Clinic" on Monday, October 18 from 3 - 5 p.m. at 3505 Maple Avenue at Reverchon Park.

TXU Energy "Skills 'N Drills Soccer Clinic" will consist of four key Burn players - Oscar Parjea, Milton Reyes, Jeff Cassar and Bobby Rhine - conducting a soccer skills clinic for the students of Mi Escuelita Preschools that will include dribbling, shooting, passing and goalkeeper drills.

"We are thrilled with our on-going partnership with Mi Escuelita Preschools and with providing the kids an opportunity to enjoy a free soccer clinic with some of our players," said Elliott. "This is the sixth consecutive year we have participated in this event and we believe that both the kids and the players benefit from the experience."

Mi Escuelita Preschools is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide a safe, secure environment where non-English speaking children of all cultures are exposed to English pre-reading skills, literacy, math, science and social skills necessary to have a successful school experience while retaining their rich cultural heritage. The program has seven sites throughout the DFW Metroplex.

"Skills N' Drills is an opportunity for the students of Mi Escuelita to get one-on-one coaching from Dallas Burn players and meet their heroes in person," said Joe Zubillaga of TXU Energy. "TXU Energy is excited to work with the Dallas Burn for such a worthwhile program."

Media are encouraged to cover this event as availability for the players will be anytime between 3 - 5 p.m. This will be a great photo opportunity for media wishing to cover.
