Crew unbeaten in five straight games

COLUMBUS, OH - The Columbus Crew will take a five-game unbeaten streak into this weekend's game when the Black & Gold travel to Boston to face the New England Revolution on Sunday, June 6, at 4 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.


Columbus ran its unbeaten streak to five (3-0-2) with a 1-0 win against San Jose on Saturday and has allowed just two goals in its last five games. The Crew is 3-3-2 on the year and is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, but just two points out of first. New England is fifth in the East with a 1-4-3 record and six points. New England plays this Wednesday, June 2, at Kansas City before facing The Crew.

COSTA RICA CALLS ERICK SCOTT IN FOR WORLD CUP QUALIFYING

Crew forward Erick Scott will miss three Crew games after being called in to the Costa Rica National Team for its two-game World Cup Qualifying series vs. Cuba. Costa Rica will play in Cuba on Saturday, June 12, at 4:30 p.m. (ET) and then play at home on Sunday, June 20, at 11 a.m. (ET). The team that wins the two-game preliminary qualifying series will advance to semifinal qualifying.
