Crew travel to New England Saturday

Edson Buddle and Columbus want to hold on to their unbeaten streak.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Crew will look to run their unbeaten streak to six games when the Black & Gold travel to New England and Gillette Stadium to face the Revolution on Saturday at 4 p.m. The game will be televised live nationally on ESPN2.


The Crew is unbeaten in their last five games (2-0-3) after a 2-1 win vs. Dallas last Wednesday. The Crew is 6-5-6 (24 pts.) on the year and in second-place in the Eastern Conference, just five points behind the first-place MetroStars, and three points ahead of third-place D.C. United. Columbus has played two fewer games than the MetroStars and one fewer than D.C.


New England is in fifth-place in the East with a 4-8-6 record and 18 points. The Crew also has a game in hand on New England and has already captured the season series vs. the Revs going 2-0-1.

After Saturday, the Crew remain on the road to face Los Angeles at The Home Depot Center on August 14 before returning home on August 18 to take on the Kansas City Wizards in the final Johnsonville Buck-A-Brat Night of the year.
