CREW MAGIC NUMBER TO CLINCH A PLAYOFF SPOT IS TWO, CAN BE FIRST TO CLINCH ON SATURDAY
With a 13-point cushion on last place New England in the Eastern Conference, The Crew's magic number to clinch a playoff spot is two points. Columbus needs a combination of two points won or lost by New England to clinch its seventh playoff appearance in nine years. The Crew have 37 points and six games left, while New England has 24 points, five games remaining and can only reach a maximum of 39 points. One Crew win and/or one New England loss would clinch for Columbus, who also own the tiebreaker against the Revolution after winning the season series 2-0-2.

CREW STRETCHES TEAM-RECORD UNBEATEN STREAK TO 12, TIED FOR 2ND LONGEST IN MLS HISTORY
After the 1-0 win at San Jose on September 8, the Crew stretched their team record unbeaten streak to 12 consecutive games (5-0-7). The 12-game streak is tied with five other teams for the second longest in MLS history, trailing only a 15-game run by Los Angeles over the course of the 1997 and 1998 seasons (shootouts included). The previous Crew record of nine (7-0-2) was set on 7/4 to 8/19, 2001. Columbus also had a seven-game (4-0-3) unbeaten streak earlier in the year from 5/1 to 6/12 that ranks as the third longest unbeaten streak in team history.
