This blockbuster 'Doble Clásico' will take place on Wednesday, August 10, with Chivas USA-Galaxy kicking off at 7:00 p.m. PT and Guadalajara-América kicking off at 9:00 p.m. PT.

"We are truly proud to present a celebration of all things Chivas," said Whit Haskel, Chivas USA's Senior Vice President and General Manager. "These rivalries represent the essence of our sport, making this an evening true soccer fans should not miss."

The international doubleheader was announced today during a media teleconference which included Chivas USA President and Co-Owner Antonio Cué, Club Deportivo Guadalajara Vice-President of Football Néstor de la Torre, Los Angeles Galaxy President and General Manager Doug Hamilton and Club América Vice-President of Sport Manuel Lapuente.

Tickets for the doubleheader, which start at just $25, are currently available to Chivas USA season ticket holders, ChivaSocio members and fans who buy a special two-pack for Chivas USA's July 22 match against the New England Revolution or the club's September 3 match against the Columbus Crew, available only by calling 1-877-CHIVAS-1 or online through www.CDCHIVASUSA.com, the club's official Web site. In addition, fans who purchase in advance via 1-877-CHIVAS-1 will receive a coupon for a limited edition Honda Chivas USA soccer ball, while supplies last. Chivas USA season ticket holders will be contacted shortly regarding their seating assignments at the Coliseum.

The Honda Super Clasico between Chivas USA and the Galaxy will mark the fourth and final game in an inaugural series. The match, originally scheduled for October 8 at The Home Depot Center, will mark the first time that an MLS regular season contest is played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home to the 1932 and 1984 Olympics as well as numerous world-class international soccer matches.

'Coors Light Te Trae el Clásico de Clásicos' (Coors Light Brings You the Classic of Classics) is the official title of the doubleheader's second game, between Mexican powerhouses Chivas and América. This historic rivalry has been played 140 times since 1943, with Chivas winning 45 times, América winning 48 times, and the two teams tying on 47 occasions. The exhibition match will fall between Matchdays 2 and 3 of Mexico's Apertura 2005 season, set to begin on Saturday, July 30.

Chivas Guadalajara and the 'Águilas' of Club América are the two most popular clubs in Mexico and among Mexicans and Mexican-Americans in the United States. The two teams also share the record for most Mexican league titles, with 10 apiece. América is Mexico's reigning league champion, having claimed the Clausura 2005 title in May, while Guadalajara, which won its tenth Mexican league title in 1997, was Mexico's runner-up a year earlier in the Clausura 2004.

This year, Guadalajara made a storybook run the Copa Libertadores, defeating Boca Juniors 4-0 on aggregate in the quarterfinals to become just the third Mexican semifinalist in the history of the prestigious South American club championship.

Chivas and América last met on March 26, 2005, with América claiming a 3-0 win over Chivas in front of 35,415 fans at SBC Park in San Francisco, California. Two weeks earlier, the two teams had battled to a 3-3 draw in front of more than 100,000 fans at Mexico City's Estadio Azteca on Matchday 9 of the Mexican Clausura 2005 season.
