CARSON, Calif. - Chivas USA fell 2-1 to Houston 1836 today at The Home Depot Center's Track and Field Stadium in the Red-and-White's sixth scrimmage of the 2006 preseason. Juan Pablo García put the home side up in the 16th minute with a penalty-kick goal following a foul on Ante Razov by Wade Barrett.
But Houston would come back with goals by Brian Ching, in the 26th minute off a Ronald Cerritos corner kick, and Brad Davis, on a 20-yard freekick in the 63rd minute, just moments before both coaches - Bob Bradley for Chivas USA and Dominic Kinnear for Houston - made the majority of their respective second-half substitutions.
