Chicago Fire to host 'Fan Appreciation Night' on Oct. 5 in club's return to Soldier Field against MetroStars

CHICAGO - The Chicago Fire has announced that it will host "Fan Appreciation Night" on Wednesday, Oct. 5 during its match against the MetroStars, in the team's return to Soldier Field after a 56-day absence from the lakefront venue. The Fire has announced a special ticket offer for groups and current season ticket holders. Season ticket holders will receive up to four complimentary tickets for friends for the Fire's match against the MetroStars, and additional tickets for season ticket holders can be purchased for $10 each. Also, groups of four or more will receive the $10 price for admission.


Additionally, the Fire has changed day of game prices for the Oct. 5 match in honor of "Fan Appreciation Night." Firehouse, Corner Kick and Reserve seats, normally $20-25, will be available at a special price of $15, while Premier and VIP seats, normally $30-40, will be available for $25.


The Fire-MetroStars match will mark the Fire's second to last home match at Soldier Field prior to the team's anticipated move to its future permanent stadium in Bridgeview in the Spring 2006. The Fire will host the Columbus Crew on Saturday, Oct. 8 in the regular season home finale.

Kick-off at Soldier Field for the Fire-MetroStars contest - a crucial match for both clubs during the last stretch prior to the MLS Playoffs, is set for 7:30 p.m. CT.


The Fire also announced its first Fire Business Alliance Networking event, to be held on the Colonnades level on the east side of Soldier Field prior to Fire-Metros contest at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature food/beverages, raffle prizes and an opportunity to network with some of Chicago's top business leaders. Admission to the event is $35 for members and $55 for non-members. The price includes a ticket to the match.
