For all those eager to find out what's going on with the construction of the Fire's new stadium in Bridgeview, as of March 23, the foundation piles and berms have been completed. Some fine tuning of the north berm is also undergoing work.
The foundation concrete process has begun, along with the forming and pouring of the retaining walls in the northwest and southeast corners. Concrete foundations (pile caps, grade beams and retaining walls) will continue throughout the next few months. Steel installation should be starting on May 1.
