Registering his first cap in 2001, Beasley quickly became a critical piece for his national team. He has played in seven World Cup games for the United States and recently has become the team's starting left back, earning his 100th cap in the process.
Beasley started his career with the Chicago Fire and after four and a half seasons he moved to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands where he won two Eredivisie titles (2004-05, 2005-06). He moved on from PSV after the 2005-06 and after a few unsuccessful moves, landed with Puebla in Liga MX in 2011. He has received consistent playing time for the club, mostly as a left wingback.
