What Scouts Say: "Played a big role for them in a team that was very good ... Very good player ... Has the tools to do everything. Plays in defensive midfield for them ... As season went on he played a big role in their success .. The guy who pulled the strings for SMU ... Not biggest of guys, but quick with the ball, very technical .... They play through him ... Can he handle the physical aspect of pro soccer? Hard to say ... Has skills, quick feet and composure ... Has played as outside back and he's a very good attacking outside back because he's so technical and so calm on the ball ... Since he's not a giant, people will question whether you can you put him at d-mid. Not that classic big, strong, powerful d-mid ... He's versatile: outside back, defensive midfield ... you can probably play him wide in midfield ... Definitely right-footed but can use both feet ... Very technical, very quick and can hold the ball under pressure and also tough in the tackle ... Player that can go both ways ... Maybe an outside back in MLS, but can play in a number of different spots ... Skilful and tidy and makes good decisions under pressure ... Wherever you throw him he won't be in awe ... Played d-mid for SMU because he covers ground ... Athletic enough to get around the field ... Likes the defensive side of the ball ... Good in tight spaces and can connect the dots ... Clean passer of the ball ... He can jump, get around and he's really quick ... Does a good job on the short turn ... Reads the game well ... The engine that made SMU go ... Size will be the question ... Picked and chose his time to go forward from d-mid position ... Very smart. Quiet and sits in."
