HOW ACQUIRED: Selected with the No. 26 pick in the 2014 SuperDraft and signed Feb. 11, 2014.
Over the course of his college career at the University of Washington, Taylor Peay gradually established a reputation as a pugnacious defender and a capable passer out of the back in Jamie Clark’s three-man back line setup. Peay’s natural soccer smarts blended with his physical prowess makes him a natural fit in MLS, where he could well turn into a starter. After spending the 2014 season on loan, Peay made his professional debut in 2015.
COLLEGE: Peay was an important member of one of the best Huskies teams in recent memory. From 2010-2013, he started 56 matches and became just the third player in program history to garner First Team All-America honors as a senior in 2013.
