Career Summary

Chivas USA signed Florida native, defender, Scott Gordon on Friday, March 16, 2012, after joining the Red-and-White during the team’s preseason in February. Previous to joining Chivas USA, Gordon played with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League (NASL), where he played 19 games and scored one goal.

Gordon, a native of Boca Raton, Fla., attended Spanish River High School, and began his college soccer career at Mercer University, transferring to Lynn University prior to his sophomore year in 2007. He finished his collegiate career with a total of 28 games, scoring 5 goals, and 4 assists. He was a two-time All-Sunshine State Conference honoree, and collected NSCAA All-South Region recognition honors as a senior. Professionally, Gordon was drafted in the third round (53rd overall) in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas, but was not offered a professional contract by the team.
