2014: Did not appear in league action… Champions League: Started and played the full 90 minutes on August 26 against C.D. FAS in New York’s opening CCL game. Started and played the full 90 minutes on September 17 in New York’s 1-0 CCL group play loss at Montreal. Started and played the full 90 minutes in New York’s 0-0 draw at C.D. FAS on September 24 in CCL group play. US Open Cup: Played full 90 on June 14 against New York Cosmos.

2013: Slowed early in the season while recovering from previous year’s hip surgery and did not make a regular-season appearance. Unused substitute in both legs of conference semifinal series vs. Houston. Started and made three saves to earn shutout in 2-0 U.S. Open Cup win vs. Reading United on May 29, his first competitive appearance since July 8, 2012. Played all 90 minutes in 4-2 loss at New England in the Round of 16 on June 12. Started nine of 12 reserve games and posted a team-best 1.54 goals-against-average. Returned to action by playing first half of 2-0 loss at Columbus on May 5. In highest-profile match of the Reserve League season, played first half and did not allow a goal in 1-0 loss at USL PRO club Wilmington Hammerheads in front of 4,287 fans on June 15. Earned wins in final two games of the season -- Sept. 8 at Houston and Sept. 15 vs. Toronto. Played final 28 minutes in 2-2 friendly against French squad Olympique Lyonnais on July 16.

2012: Earned the No. 1 role in preseason and started 18 games for the New York Red Bulls. Posted 9-5-4 record and 1.50 goals-against-average. Set shutout record for rookie goalkeeper, posting 321 shutout minutes while helping Red Bulls to five-match winning streak from April 28 to May 19. Underwent season-ending hip surgery on Aug. 23. Posted shutout in 3-0 U.S. Open Cup win at Charleston Battery in third round on May 29. Played all 120 minutes in 3-1 overtime loss at Harrisburg City Islanders in fourth round on June 5.


Spent four years as the starter at Fordham University, where he was a three-time All-Atlantic 10 selection and set the school’s all-time shutouts record with 31. Was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2011. That season, he ranked in the top-10 in the nation in goals-against average, posting a 0.65 mark with 10 clean sheets. Named as a First Team All-Atlantic 10 selection and was Fordham’s MVP as a junior in 2010. Earned a spot on the conference’s All-Rookie team in 2008.


Favorite sport other than soccer is basketball, which he played in high school. All-time favorite television show is The Wire and favorite film is Good Will Hunting. Says winning the Atlantic-10 regular season title in 2011 as favorite soccer memory so far. Great grandfather was a member of the New York Yankees.
