• 2011: A 19-year-old Luna appeared in 15 MLS games for FC Dallas, scoring his lone goal of the season in the regular season finale - a 4-2 loss to San Jose on Oct. 22... Luna’s first MLS assist was a game-winner to Marvin Chavez in a 1-0 win over Chivas USA on July 31... Luna led FC Dallas with two goals in CONCACAF Champions League competition... Both of his goals came in a 5-3 loss to Tauro FC on Sept. 28... Luna led the MLS Reserve League in scoring with 10 goals in nine games.
• 2010: After signing with FC Dallas midseason, Luna made his professional debut on Sept. 4 against Toronto. Luna saw eight minutes of action in his debut and seemingly scored his first goal before an off sides call nullified the score... Scored a goal in FC Dallas’ Reserves 2-0 win against the Colorado Rapids’ Reserves on Oct. 10... Appeared in three more MLS regular season matches totaling 48 minutes... Was in the top 18 for all four of FC Dallas’ postseason matches... Made his MLS playoff debut when he came on for Jeff Cunningham in the 77th minute of the Western Conference Semifinal in Salt Lake...

2010: Scored a team-high 26 goals in 29 appearances for the FC Dallas U-18 FC Dallas Academy... Was named to the U.S. U18 Development Academy Starting XI... 2009: Was named U.S. Development Academy Player of the Year for the U-16 age group....Led the league in scoring with 38 goals in 27 games.

Personal

Grew up a fan of Manchester United since his mother bought him a Man U scarf at an early age, well before he knew that Manchester United was a soccer team... His family calls him “Abimelec,” his middle name...  Parents names are Norma and Ruben Luna Sr... He has two sisters Priscilla and Cynthia, both attend the University of North Texas... His all-time favorite player is Rudd Van Nistelrooy... Attended North Mesquite High School from 2007 to 2010... Is a Christian... the youngest of three... Like oldies music and les miserables.
