2014: Named the second team captain in Impact history in MLS on February 13… Tallied three assists in 26 regular season games, including 20 starts, and 1,802 minutes… Named to the Team of the Week for week 8 and selected once as the Videotron Player of the Game… Helped the team win a second consecutive Canadian championship, recording one goal and two assists in four starts… Started two of three games during the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League… Also scored one goal in three starts in the MLS Reserve League… Signed a new contract with the Impact on December 11.

2010/11: Registered one goal and one assist in 22 games with FC Nordsjaelland in Danish first division… Helped his team win a second consecutive Danish Cup, playing in two games, but missed the tournament final due to injury… Also played two qualifying matches for the Europa League, against Portuguese club Sporting CP.

2009/10: Played 27 games in his second season with FC Nordsjaelland, recording two goals and one assist… Helped the club win the Danish Cup, adding one goal and one assist in six games during the competition… Missed the final due to injury.

2008/09: Signed with Danish first division club FC Nordsjaelland on June 25… Recorded five assists in 27 regular season games… Registered two goals and one assist in four qualifying matches before playing two UEFA Cup games in 2008, against legendary Greek club Olympiakos F.C… Also played one Danish Cup game.

2007/08: Joined FC Kaiserslautern, then in the 2.Bundesliga, Germany’s second division, on May 28, 2007, scoring one goal in 15 games… Also played in two DFB-Pokal national championship games.

2007: Scored two goals and added one assist in nine games with Tromso IL in the Tippeligaen, Norway’s first division.

2006: Played 24 games with Tromso IL, registering one goal and two assists… Also played three Norwegian Cup games.

2005: Named Tromso IL’s Player of the Year after playing in 24 games…Played in two Norwegian Cup games… Also took part in six UEFA Cup matches, helping the club beat Turkish giants Galatasaray S.K. in the first round before playing in the group stage against RC Strasbourg (France), A.S. Roma (Italy), FC Basel (Switzerland) and Red Star Belgrade (Serbia)… Saw his club refuse an offer of 1.3 million € from Turkish club Besiktas Istanbul to obtain his services.

2004: Began the season in Norwegian second division with Moss F.K., scoring one goal in 11 games, before making the jump to first division with Tromso IL in the summer… Scored one goal in 11 games with his new team.

2003: Joined Moss F.K in Norwegian second division before the season, playing 29 games with the team.

2002: Scored four goals in 23 games in his last season in North American second division with the Impact.

2001: Started a team-leading 23 games, recording his first career goal while registering three assists… Also helped the Impact win the Montreal Cup, a six-team international tournament.

2000: Started 27 of 28 games played and registered three assists in his first season with the Montreal Impact.


Has played a total of 53 games, including 38 starts, for the Canadian National Team, taking part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2005, 2007 and 2009, as well as FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 2004 and 2008… Reached 50 career games with Canada on September 9 against Jamaica, in Toronto… Played in two games against Saint-Kitts-and Nevis and one game against Panama in the CONCACAF qualification for the 2014 World Cup… Has also been a member of the U23, U20 and U17 National Teams… Named Fan’s Choice in 2010.


Played for Syracuse University in 1999, where he was named to the All-Rookie and All-Conference teams.


Played with FC Sélect Rive-Sud in the Quebec Elite Soccer League.


Spokesperson for the Fondation de l’Office municipal d'habitation de Montréal (OMHM)… Took part in many school visits with the Impact during the season as part of the program All the Way with the Impact to encourage school success… Married to Mélisa and father of two daughters, Sofia Jade and Mia Victoria… His father, Jean, was inducted to the Quebec Soccer Hall of Fame in 2004 and received the Award of Merit by the Canadian Soccer Association in 2011… Played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League between 1996 and 1998 with Val d’Or and Sherbrooke… His cousin, Maxime Fortunus, played with the Dallas Stars of the NHL.
