A product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, Rosell joined Sporting Kansas City from Barcelona B in August 2012, played a major role in Kansas City's 2013 MLS Cup championship, and was sold to Lisbon-based Sporting Clube de Portugal in June 2014.
2014: MLS: Started seven of Kansas City's first 10 games before being transferred in June. CCL: Played all 180 minutes in Sporting KC's quarterfinal series against Cruz Azul: a 1-0 win on March 12 and a 5-1 loss on March 19.
2013: MLS: In first full year as a starter, Rosell started 31 of the team's 34 matches. Led MLS in interceptions with 130. Rosell tallied one goal and one assist, scoring the game-winning goal in the team's season-opening win at Philadelphia on March 2. CCL: Started all four of Sporting KC's 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League group stage matches. Open Cup: Started Sporting KC's 1-0 loss to Orlando City SC on June 12.
2012: Rosell joined Sporting Kansas City on August 2 and made his MLS debut nine days later in 2-1 victory over D.C. United. Rosell played just one minute in his debut. On September 1, Rosell made his second appearance for Sporting Kansas City. Rosell scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute, just nine minutes after entering the match (Video). Rosell made his lone start on September 22 in a scoreless draw against the Montreal Impact.
UNOFFICIAL CATALONIA INTERNATIONAL (1 cap): Came on as substitute and played 22 minutes for non-FIFA member Catalonia in 4-1 win over Cape Verde Islands on Dec. 30, 2013.
