Career Summary

Nick Hagglund re-signed with FC Cincinnati on Jan. 14, 2022 to a contract through the 2023 season. As part of his new deal in 2022, the Cincinnati native will also serve as a club ambassador, further his and FCC’s work in the Cincinnati community and continue to connect the club with the city. He was originally acquired via trade from Toronto FC on Jan. 23, 2019.

2023 (FC Cincinnati): Made 27 appearances, 26 starts, in his 10th season of MLS and his fifth with the Orange and Blue … second on the team with 114 clearances, adding 32 interceptions on the season as well … achieved an even split in blocks with 12 passes blocked and 12 goals blocked … eclipsed over 2,000 minutes played for only the third time in his career with 2,158 minutes across regular season play … scored his loan goal of the season in a 3-0 shutout of New York City FC on Aug. 10 to help extend the club’s home unbeaten streak in 2023 to 19.
