Mohamed Zemmamouche

CLUB TEAM: USM Alger (Algeria)

Mohamed Lamine Zemmamouche has only collected a handful of caps with the senior national team. A young veteran of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1, he is a left-footed goalkeeper who missed the 2010 World Cup squad, as the last player cut.

ALGERIAN NATIONAL TEAM

With only four caps as of mid-May, Zemmamouche has had to play Algeria’s most important game in the 2014 World Cup qualification campaign. Taking over for starting goalkeeper Rais M’Bolhi, he registered a shutout against Burkina Faso, during the second leg of the decisive playoff game. He will now be fight for the starting job against the veteran.

CLUB CAREER

Zemmamouche joined USMA in 2002 and started his first game with the senior team as a 19-year old. After joining rival club MCA in 2009, Zemmamouche returned to USMA in 2011.

He has conceded 13 goals in 22 games this season.
