Diskerud is a smooth midfielder who made 27 appearances in his first MLS season. The US National Team member will look to play a large part in coach Patrick Vieira's inaugural campaign, and hope to bring playoff soccer to the Bronx.

OUTSIDE MLS: Diskerud started his professional career with Norwegian Club Stabaek, the same club where Bob Bradley would later manage. He would later move on to powerhouse Rosenborg, with a loan spell at K.A.A. Gent in Belgium in 2012. In 2014, he helped Rosenborg to a second place finish in the Tippeligaen.

INTERNATIONAL: Diskerud has 26 national team appearances, and five goals. He made his debut for the USMNT on Nov. 17, 2010 against South Africa in Cape Town, providing an assist for Juan Agudelo, on the winning goal in a 1-0 victory. He helped the team to a CONCACAF Gold Cup Championship in 2013. Member of Jurgen Klinsmann’s World Cup squad in 2014 in Brazil, which reached the Round of 16.
