Three of his goals were game-winning goals (NE 6/4, Chivas USA 7/31, VAN 10/15) and he netted two goals against New York on July 23... Chavez scored one of the biggest goals in FC Dallas history on Aug. 17... His 65th minute strike gave Dallas a 1-0 win over Pumas UNAM (the first win by an MLS team on Mexican soil).
• 2010: Scored career highs in every category... Picked up his first MLS assist and game-winning assist in a 1-0 win against Toronto on Sept. 4... Netted his first MLS goal in a 3-1 win over the Kansas City Wizards on Sept. 25... Scored his second in the very next match, a 3-0 win over the Chicago Fire on Oct. 2… Had a breakout game against the Los Angeles Galaxy in the Western Conference Final, scoring a goal and adding an assist in 74 minutes.
• 2009: Made his first appearance for FCD on the 18-man day of game roster versus D.C. United on Sept. 5…Made his first MLS start on Sept. 12 versus the LA Galaxy in the midfield…Made seven total appearances and three starts this season.

Other Professional Experience:

• 2008 – 2009: Tallied 11 goals and 11 assists with Club Deportivo Marathon of Honduras’ Primera Division… Scored the game-winning goal against D.C. United propelling his team into the quarterfinal round of the 2008/2009 CONCACAF Champions League tournament.
• 2005 - 2008: Recorded 23 goals and 17 assists with his hometown club Club Deportivo Victoria of Honduras’ Primera Division…Helped the team to a fourth place finish in the 2006 Copa Interclubes UNCAF tournament, an international club competition between the seven nations of Central America.

International:
Chavez has earned 23 caps with the Honduran national team, making appearances in World Cup qualifying, the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the 2009 and 2011 Copa Centroamericana and various friendlies. He recorded his first international goal in the 2009 UNCAF Nations Cup against El Salvador. Two years later, Chavez played an even bigger role for Los Catrachos in the 2011 Copa Centroamericana. Chavez saw action in all four matches of that competition, logging 102 minutes and scoring a goal in Honduras’ 2-0 win over El Salvador in the tournament semifinals. Honduras won the 2011 Copa Centroamericana with a 2-1 win over Costa Rica on Jan. 23, 2011.

Chavez’s parents’ names are Milta Lorena Alvarez and Juan Chavez... He has three girls, Camille, Daekille and Catlin... Favorite player is Tyson Nuñez... His favorite soccer memory was his first game as a professional in Honduras against one of the biggest club of the league.
