Marcos Paullo

Brazilian midfielder Marcos Paullo enters his first season as a Red Bull after trialing with the club last summer. Marcos Paullo, who came up in the youth system of famed Brazilian club Goias, is a creative midfielder who will look to compete for minutes in New York’s midfield. He made an appearance with the Red Bulls in last season’s Barclays New York Challenge against Manchester City.

Professional:
2010: Joined Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense but did not feature for the first team. Went on trail with the Red Bulls in July, appearing as a substitue in the club’s friendly with Manchester City on July 25.

2009: Played for the Under-20 team at Brazilian side Goiás Esporte Clube. Competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20 and the Copa Sao Paolo de Juniores.

2008: Moved up to the Goiás Under-18 side and helped them capture the Campeonato Goiano Sub-18.

2007 and prior: Began career in the youth ranks of Goiás Esporte Clube.
