A center back, Ellis had a breakout season with Sporting KC in 2014, logging 21 appearances in all competitions. He followed that up with 27 MLS appearances in 2015. A spot starter in 2016 and 2017, the Sporting KC academy product again promises to offer quality contributions off the bench for the Fire in 2018.
COLLEGE: Ellis attended Barton County Community College, where he led the school to back-to-back Region VI championships and NJCAA national tournament appearances in 2009 and 2010. He started at forward and transitioned to defense during his time there. His 34 goals and 80 points in the two-year career are an all-time school record.
PERSONAL: Has a twin brother. Nicknamed "Dani Alves."
