What Scouts Say: Already offered a contract by Mexico’s Tigres and came back to college … Pure No. 10 … Attacking mid is where he wants to play … Probably not a No. 10 midfielder but a pinching in from out wide … Played right back in Mexico ... Awesome college player, but will there be enough MLS teams who will find a spot for him? … Talented … More effective in 2011 when they went to a more counterattacking style than in 2012, alternating between pressing … Better when he has a little bit of space ... When marked tightly or spaces are small there may be concerns at the next level ... Quick, makes good runs in the box ... Can find goal-scoring opportunities … Can create individually when he has the space ... Can he think quick enough when the game is tighter and people are coming at you? ... Not a guy who provides width if playing out wide. But can support centrally … Gets a hard time for not being a two-way midfielder and being a luxury ... Just finds seams and picks up the ball and changes games in matter of instances ... Given the freedom, he’s fantastic ... Great passer of the ball ... He’s probably going to have to work a little harder and play a little deeper in MLS ... The better players on the field, the better he's going to look, especially if he can get the ball and move to next guy and get it back ... If he can get in transition, if there's space in behind to play penetrating passes, he loves to do it and slip balls in … Not big or strong physically. He's soccer strong ... He’s going to have to get used to physical game. He doesn’t like it. He has to become a grinder ... Very good technically and he understands the game and is a good soccer player, but not overly fast or overly athletic. So where does he play? … Not enough of a ball winner to be a holding midfielder … Sees things that other guys don't see … Fantastic vision, very high soccer IQ ... Can play out of pressure very well ... Not athletic but uses body very well ... Can he be consistent defensively and defend for long stretches? ... Questions about his versatility and what other positions he can play ... Able to retain possession and create goals … True playmaker. Very good at finding spots ... Can score from distance ... Has soccer speed like a Ned Grabavoy: You think you got him and he gets an extra touch and moves away ... He’s not going to push it by guys ... Brings other guys into the game … Got a work rate to him. If he can defend, he can be a versatile midfielder ... Don't think he 's been asked to do it ... May be able to play deep midfielder role where a team plays with two holding players, with a partner next to him … Very hard to take the ball away from him and has a good eye for the game ... He can start a good counterattack … Has to be more consistent and a little tougher on the pro scene … He’s been hot and cold in college.”
