HOW ACQUIRED: Signed as a Homegrown player by Toronto FC on Aug. 20, 2020, effective Jan. 2021.

Prolific as a teenager for Toronto FC II, Perruzza will now get the opportunity to prove he can do it at the MLS level. TFC general manager Ali Curtis described him as “aggressive, skillful with the ball, and has a knack for scoring goals.”

INTERNATIONAL: Perruzza represented Canada at the 2018 Concacaf Under-20 Championship scoring one goal. He was also named to the provisional Canada U-23 roster for 2020 Concacaf Olympic Qualifying before the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

OUTSIDE MLS: Perruzza spent the past two seasons with Toronto FC II, where he made 28 appearances with 17 goals and two assists. During the 2019 season, he led the club in goals scored with 15 and was second in goals scored in USL League One. In addition, Perruzza was nominated for USL League One Young Player of the Year and was No. 18 in the 2019 USL “20 Under 20.” He originally joined the Toronto FC Academy in January of 2013.
