TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing The Seattle Sounders have signed defender Saad Abdul-Salaam and waived defender Jordan McCrary, the club announced Tuesday. They also sent $50,000 Targeted Allocation Money to NYCFC for Abdul-Salaam's MLS rights. Abdul-Salaam, 27, featured in MLS from 2015-18 for Sporting Kansas City then NYCFC, making a total of 68 appearances.

The former North Carolina Tar Heel joins the Sounders to provide depth at fullback for Brian Schmetzer's team.

OUTSIDE MLS: McCrary signed with Toronto FC II for the 2017 season, starting 19 of 27 appearances for the Reds’ USL side.

COLLEGE: Appeared in 76 matches for the University of North Carolina from 2011-2015 (he redshirted in 2014 due to injury), recording nine career assists. He was a NSCAA Third Team All-South Region selection in 2015 after recording a career-high five assists while starting all 20 appearances for the Tar Heels. In 2011, McCrary was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team and a College Soccer News Freshman All-American.
