2021: Maurer started in 24 MLS regular season matches for FC Dallas. In the 2,131 minutes played, he registered a total of 76 saves, 1.56 GAA, and ended the year with a 67.3% save percentage. Also recorded three clean sheets throughout the year. His first clean sheet of the year came in a 0-0 draw at Toyota Stadium vs. Colorado Rapids on April 17. Maurer made the bench for the MLS Team of the Week on two occasions, during week 1 and 17.

* Maurer started and appeared in 16 MLS regular season appearances and recorded seven shutouts. Ended the year with a 0.81 GAA and 79.4 % in saves, first among starting goalkeepers. On August 16 vs. Nashville SC, Maurer recorded seven saves to earn his fifth shutout of the year. Recorded five saves in the 2-1 win vs. Inter Miami CF on October 28. 2013-2017:
Spent last five seasons with the NASL’s New York Cosmos. He became the club’s full-time starter in 2014, earning NASL Best XI honors that season before helping New York to the NASL title in 2015 and 2016. He started 25 games for the Cosmos in 2017, finishing the season with a 9-5-11 record and a 1.48 goals-against average.

2012: Spent one season with Chilean first division team Universidad de Concepción.
