College: Spent first two years at UC Davis (2009-2010) before transferring to Penn State University for his final two years (2011-2012) ... Appeared in 37 games, starting 29, in his two seasons at Davis and registered one assist ... Started all 22 games in his first season with Penn State, picking up a goal and an assist ... Started all 17 games for the Nittany Lions in the 2012 season, but did not register a goal or an assist.

Prep: Graduated La Habra High School in La Habra, Calif. Scored six goals and added eight assists to help the Highlanders to a 24-3-2 record and the Southern Section Division III title.
