Roger Espinoza is a midfielder who is comfortable playing in the middle or out on the wing. He was well known amongst MLS fans after spending five seasons with Sporting Kansas City.

HONDURAN NATIONAL TEAM

Espinoza made his debut with Los Catratchos in 2009 and has registered over 30 caps for his country. He shined at the 2012 London Olympics where he received a standing ovation after being sent off in the quarterfinals against Brazil.

CLUB CAREER

After attending Ohio State, Espinoza was drafted 11th overall by the Kansas City Wizards in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft. After winning the US Open Cup in 2012, Espinoza transferred to Wigan Athletic in England. He lifted another trophy when Wigan won the 2013 FA Cup.
